HIghway 60 and White Mountains

Yesterday we drove Highway 60 through Arizona.

At a turnout overlooking a landslide

Can you see the almost buried car? That must have been quite a ride!

And we drove on

Today we drove through the White Mountains in Arizona and into New Mexico. It’s so beautiful – so different from the dry brownness of California.

Storm clouds gathered:





And the rain started

And while we were dinking around taking pictures of the storm in the distance

A couple miles ahead this was happening:

And even a flash flood:

When the storm cleared, we found beautiful flowers

And a moth on a leaf

And finally, the sunset:
