We left home Saturday afternoon, and took a redeye flight from Oakland that arrived in Atlanta at 6am Sunday. From there we flew into Hartford, Connecticut. The weather was warm and a little humid. We drove through Connecticut and Massachusetts into New Hampshire. It was an uneventful drive, although in Holyoak, Massachusetts, we encountered this motorcycle parade. Main Street was pretty much blocked off and they had police escorts at the beginning and end. People pulled over to watch, and there were even people sitting by the side of the road in folding chairs. We estimated there were about six hundred motorcycles.

We stopped along the way to buy supplies (snack food and things for the car), and stopped along a stream to take pictures,

We were very tired, since we only got a couple hours sleep on the plane and had been up for about thirty six hours and mostly just wanted to find a nice place to sleep.
We found it in Peterborough, NH. We stayed at a very nice B&B called the Little River B&B. The owners were a very nice couple who were very helpful about things to see in the area and they even knew the whereabouts of a couple yarn stores nearby.
